FrogAT · #8 · May 16, 2018. Had about 20 false neutral during the first 10,000km, always between 5th and 6th gear. Used Honda oil for the 1st and 2nd oil changes at 1000 and 6000km. At 10000km, I switched to Motul 5100. No, Zero, nada false neutrals since then.
Problem #3: Lean Fueling. Most new bikes suffer from this. Rough idle, snatchy/abrupt low speed response and backfiring. Just rode my friends identical bike with slip-on and mapped PC5, night and day improvement. Better in every way, you might not know it is a problem until you ride a properly tuned bike. Not unique to the AT! Problem #4

You just pop that dust cover off, once you have unstrapped it, and slide the thin plastic ( Seal Saver) up behind the seals. Once you are up there pull it down a bit to slide the lip of the seal down and then circle around the seal. Give it a wipe and check to see if the leak stopped.

The 2020 Honda Africa Twin is a significant improvement over its predecessor. It’s more lively and has an electronics package that makes it easier to ride at a high level. Jeff Allen
HONDA XRV750 AFRICA TWIN (1990-2003) verdict. The 750 Africa Twin was a decent, versatile ‘Dakar Replica’ in its day, which, thanks to its durability, classic style and evergreen relevance, has endured to become THE classic adventure bike, with the escalating prices to match, today. Ten or 15 years ago you could have got a scruffy example

Jul 1, 2013. Oddometer: 1,401. Location: Northern Virginia. I don't much care about the spoke issue, but there are a lot of reports on the Africa Twin facebook group of problematic switchgear. Nothing like the out of control wheelie problems, but a lot of reports of buttons sticking and requiring replacement.
There’s decent access to the top-end of the parallel twin but still budget for a bill of around £500 (dealers offer plans to make the cost easier to swallow). Or crack out the tools and wade in – just keep receipts as evidence. Spark plugs are £50 each and there’s two per cylinder. Thankfully they last 32,000 miles.

I doubt the Africa twin does. I suspect the reason your phone overheats is because its in direct sunlight which is a very common problem.
